As President of the Melbourne Highland Games and Celtic Festival, it gives me great pleasure to extend a heartfelt welcome to you all as we come together once again to celebrate the vibrant spirit of Scottish and Celtic culture.

After the fantastic success of the 2025 International Games, we are thrilled to carry that energy forward into 2026! This year’s festival promises a full day of colour, tradition, excitement, and community — a true Highland experience right here in Croydon.

Prepare to be swept up in the resonant sound of the pipes, the vibrant swirl of tartan kilts, and the electric atmosphere that only the Highland Games can offer. Our Heavy Events Arena will be unmissable as top Australian athletes take on the challenge of breaking the world records set at last year’s international competition. It will be a spectacle you won’t want to miss!

Our ever-popular Folk Tent returns with a wonderful lineup of performers bringing you the songs you know and love — perfect for singing along, tapping your feet, and soaking in the warm Celtic spirit.

And of course… the food! From hearty haggis to sizzling egg and bacon rolls, and the finest traditional biscuits, our vendors will keep you well-fed and smiling. Browse the stalls for Celtic jewellery, books, handmade crafts, and don’t forget to pick up your family tartan colours to wear with pride.

The Melbourne Highland Games and Celtic Festival is a celebration for all ages — a day to gather, experience, learn, and enjoy.
